How to view Instagram without an account

By now, who doesn’t know the giant platform of pictures and lifestyles that is Instagram? Usually, in order to visit other people’s Insta profiles, you need to subscribe beforehand. But what if you just want to visit their Instagram profile without creating an account or without login in? If you are looking for some ways to do just that, keep on reading because we have a few solutions for you down below!

Why would people want to view Instagram without an account?

While it’s true that creating an Instagram account is not too complicated, it also comes with a few downsides. As a matter of fact, your account is not really private on Instagram, as people can see who is viewing their profile. That’s right, if you check a profile, the profile owner can know by checking a viewer list!

Why is it made this way, you may ask? The platform values the privacy of its users and tries to enforce said values. Anyone who wants to browse their photos and/or videos is pretty much forced to show themselves in one way or another. But what if you just want to secretly view some pictures without letting the owner know, or that you don’t want Instagram to be linked to your personal information and other social media platforms such as Facebook? Luckily for you, there are a couple of solutions.

Why can’t I see someone’s Instagram without logging in anymore?

In the past, people used to be able to view public Instagram posts without creating an account. To view posts and comments from Instagram, you can still use the Instagram official website. In this case, all you have to do is find the profiles of the users you are interested in via Google, then you can easily browse through their pictures.

However, this is no longer possible, as Instagram always requires you to log in. Even if this system might help protect users from being stalked or harassed, it makes casual viewing a lot harder. Especially if you just want to briefly browse pictures and stories.

How to see an Instagram Post Preview?

If you just want to see a preview of an Instagram post and don’t want to create an account/log in, you can bypass this process by simply using the search bar. Just type in the name of the person or hashtag you want to check, then you will be able to go to the page you want. If You click on the posts or scroll down too much, however, Instagram will ask you to log in.

How to view an Instagram story without an account

You don’t want to log in and you don’t want to create a fake profile just to see some pictures? Know that it is now possible to view Insta Stories without logging in. Therefore, we’re going to introduce a few methods for you to stay anonymous while you’re browsing Insta Stories:

1. Story Saver

This is an application for Android users. With the latter, you can access it by logging in with your Instagram username and password. From there, you can search the Instagram of the person you want to see without letting them know. The search button is at the top right of the application. After that, you just need to click on the profile and a picture will appear. All the user’s stories will come up, which you can save in order to keep the file for later viewing without letting the owner of the Instagram story know.

2. Story Reposter

The Story Reposter application lets you watch other people’s stories videos. The owner of the post won’t know that you are viewing his/her stories.

To use this program, download the application to your android device, then open the application you’ve just installed. Type the Instagram user’s name of the profile you want to look at and tap Search. Then, the application will search and display the story for you, as simple as that! You can tap the story to view it. That said, there are a few limitations that you must be aware of before using this software such as;

  • The Story Reposter application will only display stories posted within the last 24 hours.
  • Stories found in the Story Reposter application must be publicly viewable, not set to private.
  • Newly posted stories may not immediately show up in the Story Reposter application, and you might need to wait for 5-10 minutes.

As you can see, even with Instagram’s insistence to force all users to create an account and log in, there are still a couple of ways to view public content anonymously. Nowadays, registered Instagram users can at least feel a bit more secure than before. Nevertheless, we can’t argue that any social media platform can be a potential danger for our privacy, so always be careful with what you post.
